Hi guys, If you are thinking of starting a blog, I suggest you start small and focus on one thing at a time. There are thousands of blogs all over Instagram and Facebook that will have you enticed to go for it, and YOU SHOULD. Instagram is one of the fastest growing media platforms. With over 200 million active users, you have a “ready-made” market! With the right #hashtags, you’re capable of reaching thousands of people at once, with the same interest as you. For FREE!
Posting is quick and easy. I have taken stock photos ( of my own, and some borrowed) and sent out post within minutes of each other. This is a great way of creating a quick audience, so building up 2-3 post at a time, with again, the right hashtags, will give you an instant amount of views.
The amount of engagement is better than most other social medias. Liking post takes seconds, and in most cases, people will give you a like and scroll on, but when you create great images, that are clean and easy to read, FAST, you will see and increase in your comments, likes and views of your actual blog (which you should have linked to your page).
There are communities of other like-minded bloggers. Creating a blog is exciting, but you have to find your community and market and pitch there. Not everyone will be interested in the things you are passionate about. Come to terms with that being okay, and then “find your tribe” out there.
You can create revenue, when done right. Blogging is a great way to be different and set yourself apart from the same old, same old, but if you have common interest as other bloggers, a great way to get in the loop of things is to collaborate with them, to get your work out there. Readers are looking for refreshing, new reads all the time, and building a traffic to your page that has been monetized, could equal revenue. This is NOT an easy task, and it will not happen overnight, no matter how great your post are. So patience an consistency is KEY! Also don’t be afraid to offer free collaborations, and hosting. You have to find what works for you!
Great place for visual learners. If you are like me, I live through my eyes. So anything that visually catches my attention, I am curious to know more. With that being said, take advantage of people like me, by creating the “catchiest” content!
In all, blogging is the new Diary for most people. You have to love what you are doing and stay loyal to the things that interest YOU, no matter how different it makes you. Following the crowd will not only make you irrelevant to followers, it will make it difficult for you to be seen as original.
So, get going, or keep going. There is an audience out there for everyone!
